Route 7 Transportation & Land Use Study

Focus Area Groups

As part of the overall study, several geographic areas of focus have been selected to be studied in greater detail. In Ridgefield, these focus areas include the Branchville area and the area around the Route 7/Route 35 Intersection. In Wilton, this includes the Wilton Train Station area.

Two interactive workshops with small-group, hands-on exercises were conducted for each focus area to (1) identify specific issues and a vision for each focus area, and (2) to develop a conceptual plan illustrating the potential for each area for the future. Agencies and others with expertise on the subject of each focus group workshop were invited to attend and brainstorm on issues and solutions related to that topic. These workshops were open to the public to give participants an opportunity to help shape the vision and future of these activity nodes.

Based on all comments received, these plans will be finalized and incorporated into the overall Route 7 Corridor Plan. Please provide comments by July 16, 2010.
