Study Team

The study is being sponsored by the South Western Regional Planning Agency (SWRPA) and Housatonic Valley Council of Elected Officials (HVCEO) with funds provided through the Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT). These agencies are responsible for planning for the regions they serve; both developing a vision for the region and planning for its long-term development and transportation system.

SWRPA has contracted with a team of consultants led by Fitzgerald & Halliday, Inc. (FHI) to conduct the study. FHI is a multi-disciplinary, full-service planning firm based in Hartford.

The study will be guided by a Technical Advisory Committee (TAC) composed of representatives of stakeholders in the study corridor. They are responsible for reviewing and commenting on the study products, acting as project representatives in their communities, and providing their insights and guidance about the study corridor to the project team as a whole.
